The product
The Divot Board is a patented golf swing training aid that shows you exactly where your club contacts the ground on every swing. Take your swing with or without a ball, and the board's sequin surface instantly reveals fat, thin, toe, or heel contact. No app or video is needed, no waiting. Just look down, and you'll know.
A standard golf practice mat or divot mat is built to survive your swing, so a fat shot often bounces off clean and you never see the miss. The Divot Board is built to reveal your swing. It's a diagnostic tool first: every strike leaves a clear, readable mark showing exactly where contact happened, so mistakes can't hide.
The original Divot Board is our full-size flagship, built for a dedicated home or range practice station. The Mini offers the same patented feedback in a smaller, travel-ready size. It is ideal if you're short on space or want something you can take with you.
The right kind does. Swing trainers that try to physically change your motion for you have mixed results. Diagnostic tools like the Divot Board work differently as they show you what's actually happening at impact so you can make an informed change instead of guessing. This is also why teaching professionals use it as a coaching tool.

Using it
Position the board so the ball marker lines up with your normal setup, take your swing, and read your divot: the mark shows exactly where your club first met the ground relative to the ball. Wipe it clean with your club or hand, and go again. You can use it with a ball for full swings, or without one for feedback on practice swings at home.
Yes. The Divot Board gives you feedback on practice swings alone, which makes it ideal for home use. You do not need a net, a ball, or even much space.
The Divot Board stays securely in place on carpet, artificial turf, and grass, thanks to its built-in spikes. For hardwood, tile, or concrete, we recommend pairing it with our Grip Pad, which locks the board in place without sliding or damaging your floors.
The Divot Board has 1/4" spikes that stick into the mat, carpet, or grass. When placed on a surface, the board sits 3/8 of an inch above the ground. When you are out on the golf course, you will rarely find a level spot to hit from. We should always be judging whether the ball is above or below our feet. You can choke up on the grip about 3/8" to make up for the 3/8" height of the Divot Board.
Durability & care
The Divot Board pad is replaceable and can last up to 3,000 swings, depending on the speed and force of your swing. Frequent heavy contact can wear the pad faster, while cleaner contact helps it last longer. As long as you can still read the divot, the pad is working. Replacement pads are available for purchase once the pad wears out, ensuring continued use of your Divot Board.
Yes. Replacement pads are available for both the original Divot Board and the Mini, so you never need to replace the whole unit. You only replace the surface.
Adhesive-backed pads stick directly to a compatible board surface. Velcro-backed pads attach to the matching hook-and-loop backing, so the worn pad peels away and a fresh one presses into place without adhesive residue during normal replacement. Our current Original and Mini replacement pads use Velcro and are sized for their matching boards; they are not interchangeable. If your board uses adhesive or you're unsure which attachment it has, email support@divotboard.com before ordering so we can help confirm the correct replacement.
Our 4 × 5 ft Turf Mat uses commercial-grade synthetic turf over a ½-inch foam base, designed for repeated indoor or outdoor practice. How long it lasts depends on how often and how heavily you use it. For routine care, gently remove loose dirt and debris with a brush or cloth. Let the mat dry before storing it in a dry place. Yes. If you are not happy with your Divot Board in the first 30 days, return the Divot Board for a full refund. Please contact us before you return the Divot Board, so we know you are sending it back.
Yes, we ship worldwide from our facility in the United States. Please note that international orders may be subject to customs duties or tariffs charged by your country upon arrival, which are the customer's responsibility.
