MyGolfSpy Tested Divot Board vs. a Cheap Amazon Knockoff. Here's What She Found.

Every founder dreams about a moment like this.

Last week, Brittany Olizarowicz — a scratch golfer and senior editor at MyGolfSpy — published a review pitting the Divot Board against one of the cheap Amazon lookalikes that have flooded the training aid category. She's owned a Divot Board for six years. She teaches with it, practices with it, and knows every quirk of how it works.

Her verdict, in her own words:

“For me, this one is Divot Board or bust.”

What She Actually Tested

The comparison was simple: the real Divot Board against the Cosportic Golf Hitting Mat, a $27.99 lookalike sold on Amazon. Same basic idea — swing across the surface, see your contact. Same promise of path and strike feedback.

Six years of daily use on the real thing gave her a pretty high bar for what "useful feedback" actually looks like.

Why the Knockoff Didn't Hold Up

Her biggest issue wasn't a feature. It was the base. The cheap mat moved — slid, shifted, crept — every time she made contact. When a board moves after impact, the feedback stops meaning anything. You can't trust a divot pattern from a surface that didn't stay put.

That's the whole idea behind the Divot Board: it only works if you can trust what it shows you. The divot doesn't lie — but it can only tell the truth if the board holds its ground.

If Price Is the Only Thing Holding You Back

She also tried the Divot Board Mini, which closes a lot of the price gap without cutting the part that matters. Same feedback, smaller footprint. If the full-size board feels like a stretch, that's the one to look at before reaching for a $28 knockoff.
