Sorry, I haven't tried the mini- divot board yet I bought it as a Xmas gift for my grandson. He has used my regular divot board so much that I have had to buy a replacement pad for it. We both love those yellow practice balls.

I have the original and just bought the mini. I love the feed back I’m getting. I’m figuring out my ball position so that the bottom of my swing is in the right location.

The concept is great but I have concerns already for the durability after only 3 sessions using it. Some of the felt border is already deteriorating and the hitting surface is beginning to show wear
It seems to be wearing a bit prematurely. The main objection I have is that, because of the thickness of the board, the hitting surface is actually probably an inch above the level where I’m standing. So I believe that skews the results. In other words, it looks like I’m hitting the ball fat, when in fact, my club is still on a downward trajectory, and if the board were even with my feet, it would probably be a much better-looking shot.

I had a student hit the rubber part in the back of the mini divot board. He hurt his hand and wrist. This makes me not want to use the mini board for full swing because there’s only 4 to 5 inches behind the strike area.
It was very telling. Although, I feel it needs to be cut into the hitting mat otherwise it sits too high and more fat shots.

Due to weather in the northeast my hitting off the divide board has been inside where I don’t have really a lot of room, but I’m working on a shortening my stroke and using what the dip board gives me learning my low point in my follow-through. Hopefully in a couple weeks I’ll be able to give you a little bit more input on how much I really love it Joe.
Its a little bit light, and moves every time I hit it. I practice in my garage on concrete, and the suction cups dont work to hold it down. Other than that its great, love the instant feedback.

Update: The Mini actually does have adequate "give." Not as hard as I thought. But I still don't trust the feedback.
1. Compared to feedback on the range, this doesn't quite compute, at least for me. Some of the feedback on where my club was making contact looked suspect. Example: The board registered a number of fat shots, which I almost never hit. 2. Impact is very hard--not great for the body (especially an older one). Can't you guys get a spongy layer in there somehow?

Path was very consistent, which I expected, but was surprised at degree of variability in my low point control. Easy to experiment with adjustments to try to figure out that puzzle. And nice to be able to squeeze in some swings between meetings.

I am slightly disappointed in the weak resilience of the pad. After ~150 strokes, there are signs of wear. Still love the concept and the diagnostics it provides.

As a beginner golfer at 65 it’s great to be able to evaluate my swing contacts in the convenience of my garage with your foam balls as well as using it on the driving range to match the club ground contact to ball trajectory
It is taking over one month to get the divot board.
After purchasing my first Divotboard my grandson came to visit. He’s just getting started with the First Tee program and loved hitting off the Divotboard. He is getting one for Christmas and I am sure he will love it. When visiting he spends hours hitting balls into the net and loves analyzing his every swing. Loves to watch the videos. He has learned a great deal about his swing. What a great teaching tool. He has learned to be somewhat patient and continues to monopolize the hitting net when visiting. Great winter activity! Thank you! He keeps extremely busy when he is visiting!
